Nilgiri Tahr

The Nilgiri Tahr- an endangered species can only be found in two places on earth the "Nilgiris India" and "distant cousin in Australia". There are only 2000 of the species left in the world. The Photo was taken in Raja Malai national Park in Kerala . No the photo is not of a caged Tahr, they are not very shy and are used to humans. The national park is also Famous for "Nila Kurunji" a very rare flower which blooms once in Twelve years, You can see it this october then in october of 2018. I was unfortunate to see it this time. I can imagine a valley full of blue flowers , a photographers paradise.
