Temple

This the Shiv temple in Parli Vaijnath . This temple is famous since it forms a part of 12 such Shiv lings throughout India. Shiv is one if the GODS from trinity. He is the destroyer. He carries a trishul which is very similar to GODS in other religion with tridents. Historically Shiv was supposed to be a Dravidian god and not an Aryan god. The politico-cultural landscape at that time(1000bc) was such that there was assimilation of these god in Aryan tradition.
